The Perc Tucker Regional Gallery on Flinders Street holds its new photography survey until 3 August, with timed entry slots released each Monday at 9am. Two blocks east on the same street, the Townsville Civic Theatre lists three remaining performances of the North Queensland Ballet's winter program, all scheduled for 7.30pm starts. Both locations sit within a short walk of The Strand, where weekend markets operate from 8am to 1pm and offer direct access to local makers.

Public transport timetables show the Strand shuttle running every 15 minutes until 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays. Visitors staying in South Townsville or near Reid Park can reach either site in under 12 minutes by bus or 25 minutes on foot along the river path.
